What's included in every tier
Whichever plan you choose, Orion is installed on your own server and runs on your local network. That means your patient data stays on your premises, the system keeps working when the internet doesn't, and there is no monthly cloud bill in foreign currency. Setup, staff training, and migration of your existing catalogues from spreadsheets are part of the one-time fee.

Does Orion work without an internet connection?
Yes. Orion is deployed on your hospital's own Linux server and runs on your local network, so consultations, dispensing, lab results and billing all keep working through ISP failures and power outages. There is no cloud dependency to lose.
Where is our patient data stored?
On your premises, on hardware you own. Patient records never leave the building and are not held on foreign infrastructure. One-click backup produces the database and files as a single downloadable archive, so you always hold your own copy.
How much does Orion cost?
Pricing is a one-time setup fee plus an annual subscription, in naira. Clinic starts at ₦300,000 a year with a ₦150,000 setup, Hospital at ₦900,000 a year with a ₦300,000 setup, and Enterprise at ₦2,400,000 a year with a ₦600,000 setup. Every feature in your tier is switched on — there are no per-module add-ons. These are starting points; the exact fit is confirmed on a call.
Can we move our existing records into Orion?
Yes. Drug lists, price lists, and lab and radiology catalogues import from spreadsheets via bulk CSV and Excel import, and most hospitals migrate from their old system in a day. Export works the same way in reverse, so your data stays portable and you are never locked in.
Does Orion handle HMO and insurance claims?
Yes. HMO enrollment and claims are built in rather than bolted on, alongside corporate and family billing groups for organisations that pay on behalf of their staff or dependants.
Do we need a separate PACS to view radiology images?
No. Orion includes a built-in DICOM viewer, so radiology images are read inside the system. There is no separate PACS workstation to buy and no third-party viewer licence.
Is Orion a safer alternative to WhatsApp for clinical communication?
That is what the built-in staff chat is for. Messaging happens inside the system rather than on personal phones, with every conversation stored, searchable and auditable, and it is NDPR-compliant by default.
Can Orion run across multiple branches?
Yes, on the Enterprise tier, which is multi-site ready and intended for large hospitals, multi-specialty centres, and facilities with 50 or more beds or multiple branches. It also adds surgery and theatre management, blood bank and transfusion, and a priority support SLA.
